So part of writing a book is doing everything you can to SELL a book.  No big surprise to anyone, I’m sure.  I often grapple with the sales part of it. It can be a very tricky line between art and commerce. A line that is blurred everywhere else, but for some reason feels weird to me with books.

I left PR & Marketing years ago. Or so I thought.  However, with more than 600,000 books published in 2009 you must do something to stand out.  Even the best material can go unnoticed.  Short of setting myself on fire, I’ve tried to come up with fun and interesting ways for people to find out about my novels.

We’re shooting 2 teasers for WAXED–the first which will debut at the end of the month.

We cast our model, Raphael, and found our location. I’m incredibly excited to be working with Raphael and in such an insanely gorgeous place. Shooting begins next week. Take a look:
